Ministry is at the heart of our mission. We are growing passionate followers of Jesus Christ who serve all people. Our Covenant family serves on mission together through these and other ministries:
Covenant Kids invites you to bring your children to our programs for all ages, birth through grade 5. We believe that kids matter to God! Our desire is simple, to win kids to Christ and grow them spiritually. We provide children’s programs during both services.
Students are important to us, and if you are a middle school or high school student there is a place for you. Each week there are opportunities to explore faith and friendship. Whether through fun activities, working together to serve our community, or thoughtful reflection, students can put their faith in action. Middle and High School teens meet at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays and 9:00 am on Sundays.
Young Adult Ministry
The Young Adult Ministry (YAM) is for men and women ages 18 to 24. Group meetings are held on Wednesday from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm in Room 439. The YAM hosts events and activities and offers a place to grow, learn, and join in fellowship with other young adults.
Common Ground is an extension of the YAM and exclusively serves Shepherd University. Currently enrolled students meet twice each month on campus and are included in all YAM classes, events and activities.
Small Groups are a wonderful way to grow in faith and care for one another in a more intimate setting. Groups meet at the church and throughout our community (Charles Town, Ranson, Harpers Ferry, Shepherdstown, Martinsburg and Sharpsburg, MD) on different days and times. Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced program that helps us overcome our hurts, hang-ups, and habits. It is based on the actual words of Jesus Christ rather than a psychological theory. It was designed as a program to help those struggling by showing them the loving power of Jesus Christ through a recovery process. Our Celebrate Recovery meets Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm at the church.
Throughout the year we offer soccer, volleyball, flag football, basketball and cheerleading. Registration for the 2019 basketball and cheerleading season will begin in October.
Our Food Pantry provides monthly provisions of food for area residents in need. Food distribution happens on the fourth Thursday of the month.
